The ‘Hover Camera’ drones are coming for you

Yet another self-centered drone is coming, though it prefers to distinguish it self by being called a hovering camera.
The stupidly named drone does look kind of sinister cool, encased as a squarish, dark carbon fibre package. With design cues from the Vantage Robotics’ Snap drone, it has protected propellers and folds for portability.

It even weighs less than 250 grams, which not only makes it light, but puts it in the ‘toy drone’ category with less restrictions in many countries. The camera is set to deliver 13-megapixel photos and 4K video at 30 frames-per-second.
As expected, the small size and low weight comes at a price. Most importantly: Flight time is eight minutes and there is no room for a gimbal to stabilize the camera, so video must be stabilized with software.
Even though Zero Zero Robotics has secured some funding there isn’t an availability date. They aim to list price the Hover Camera at $600.
